Dr. Vikram Goyal is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT-Delhi. He is also a member of the Infosys Center of Artificial Intelligence at IIIT-Delhi.
He joined IIIT-Delhi in 2008, and before that, he did his Ph.D. and M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and NSUT Delhi, respectively. His primary research focus is Data Science and Big Data Analytics. He has completed several Govt. funded and Consultancy projects at IIIT Delhi. He and his colleagues got a Technology Innovation Hub project from the DST worth Rs. 100 crores for technology and research in Cognitive computing and social sensing. He has supervised many Ph.D. students and guiding several others currently. He has also advised several MTech and BTech students on their projects. His work got published at top-tier Computer Science conferences and journals, including NAACL, ICDE, WSDM, TIST, ECML PKDD, and ECIR. He co-chaired a committee that designed the CBSE's K-12 Computer Science courses curriculum.
