Arani Bhattacharya earned his Ph.D. degree from Stony Brook University in Computer Science in 2019. His research experience is in applications of wireless networks and edge computing, with a focus on applying algorithms and machine learning to prototype emerging applications. Recently, these applications have been related to cloud-assisted autonomous vehicles, traffic surveillance and Industry 4.0. He has published papers in several reputed venues such as USENIX Annual Technical Conference (ATC), ACM UbiComp and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He regularly serves as a technical program committee member of multiple conferences such as ACM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC), IEEE ICDCS and ACM MMSys. He has also been part of the organizing committee of international conferences like ACM MMSys 2026 and ACM COMPASS 2024. His research has been funded by both private and government funding agencies like ANRF and Cisco.
